Cut Flower CSA Pick-up at City Farm SLO (final pick-up)
All information & registration can be found here on City Farm’s website.
I spend a few days a week growing & managing flowers over at City Farm. It weaves in wonderfully with my birth work, and is incredibly grounding. If you’re able to, and if you love flowers as I do, I’d greatly appreciate your support for this work (and for regenerative ag + our urban, non-profit education farm). The best way to do this? A CSA membership! $185 for 12 weeks of bouquets (that’s $15 a bouquet, and they’ll be large arrangements).

Bhakti Yoga & Bouquet Making at City Farm SLO
Meet us at City Farm SLO (1221 Calle Joaquin) for a special afternoon of Bhakti Yoga & Flower Bouquet Making. Bhakti Yoga led by Khristine of 9th Limb Yoga. Bouquet Making led by Caroline of City Farm SLO.
•
About our gathering ~
Join Khristine Jones, owner of 9th Limb Yoga in Morro Bay, for an embodied flow that weaves movement, mantra, and devotion. This is not just a vinyasa class—it’s a living ritual, a prayer in motion.
Together, we’ll move through a heart-led sequence inspired by Bhakti Yoga—the yoga of love, surrender, and remembrance. Expect chanting, storytelling, and breath-infused asana—all designed to open you to the deeper pulse of practice and awaken the sacred within.
Khristine is a longtime practitioner of yoga and meditation, rooted in the ancient teachings of India. She has studied within the lineages of Bhakti, Ashtanga, and Vedic philosophy, and teaches from a place of deep tradition. Her classes are known for their accessibility, humor, and reverence for the teachings—meeting each student exactly where they are.
She believes teaching yoga is an honor, a privilege, and an offering in service to the liberation of all beings.
Following our Bhakti Yoga practice, Flower Farmer Caroline will guide us through an educational & creative bouquet crafting session. Caroline practices regenerative agriculture at City Farm SLO, and revenue from flower sales flows back into City Farm’s education programs for SLO County youth.
Caroline began tending flowers at a young age, and is honored to work with them in the fields. She practices honorable harvest principles, and lets the flowers & elements guide her in her work.
You’ll have the opportunity to learn about extending the longevity of our garden’s blooms based on a given variety, and drop in to a creative flow (leveled up after our Bhakti Yoga practice) as you weave a large arrangement together. You’ll leave with a centered sense of self & community, a deepened connection to our Earthly land, & a floral bouquet of your own making.

As the Earth spins, we’re met with the weeks of the long shadow come late October. Summer lingers lightly here on the Central Coast, the last blooms in the garden fluttering in the dappled light of the shortening days.
•
In many traditions, and as if often felt by many of us still, now is the time of the thinning veil. When the work of Summer and harvest season begins to quiet, the fields are put to bed, and we begin to reflect & turn inward, those inner realms take us to places that are often unexpected.
•
The lands of the flora, the fauna, the ancestors, and the Faie are more easily accessed. On this potent day, just before Samhain (sow-en; the origin of Halloween), we’ll gather & spend the day honoring such essences. We’ll craft herbal kitchen medicine, weave some hearth magic & adornments, harvest what’s left in the garden before letting it go to rest, and speak alive the folklore of this Autumn (Samhain) season.
•
Open to all! Littles are welcome to join.
Lunch will be cooked by me ~ please let me know if you have any dietary restrictions & I’ll do my best to accommodate.
We’ll have herbal tea, potable water, and herbal snacks available throughout the day.

Lino cut & Flower Print Workshop at City Farm SLO
Join us for a hands-on linocut & flower printing workshop where you'll learn the art of carving and printing your own unique designs! Linocut is a beautiful, accessible printmaking technique that allows you to create bold, expressive artwork with simple materials. As well as our Linocut printing, we’ll have the lovely addition of City Farm grown cut & natural dye flowers to print onto our upcycled cotton materials. You’ll leave with a flower printed item, stamped with the block print of your own making, and the skills to continue these practices in your own time.
•
Led by City Farm staff members, Caroline & Sequoia.
A note from Sequoia:
I first discovered linocut during COVID, when I wanted to make a design representing my friends—we called ourselves "The Goat House," so naturally, my first stamp was a goat. As I explored more art online, I found myself drawn to intricate designs but couldn’t afford to purchase them. That’s when I started carving my own stamps and became obsessed with the process. Since then, linocut has become more than just a craft for me—it's a way to connect with people, tell stories through design, and deepen my relationship with the land.
In this workshop, you'll learn the basics of designing, carving, and printing your own linocut block. Whether you want to create a personal emblem, a nature-inspired print, or a gift for someone special, this class will guide you through each step. No prior experience is needed—just a love for creativity and a willingness to get your hands a little inky!
