Led at Intimate Journey Birth & Wellness Center.

Empowered Birth is a childbirth education class designed especially by Intimate Journey midwives. Similar to midwifery care, Empowered Birth takes a holistic approach to educating parents on the transformation that occurs in birth. This class is led by experienced birth workers and is ideally taken 4-6 weeks before your due date. Here’s what you can expect to learn throughout the class:

• Labor and the birthing process

• Breathing, relaxation, and coping techniques for labor

• Guidance for labor companions

• Postpartum care

• Newborn care

• Breastfeeding dos and don’ts

Pre-register via the link below! You will hear back from birth center staff to confirm your enrollment. Payment is due at the time of class ($350). CenCal families are welcome to attend at a discounted rate, however a co-pay is due at the time of class ($100). This is a single class intended to thoroughly prepare you for an unmedicated labor & birth, and a well-nourished postpartum.
